So much to think about, Ben. It is hard when I see prayers for others answered while the prayers for the things closest to me seem, I don't know - delayed, unheard, forgotten, rejected. It does impact my relationship with God. But He is changing me to see that while He seems distant, He is right here with me in ways that will bring me peace and Him glory. And that has to be enough for now, and I can rejoice in the answers others are given.

This particular part of life is very difficult to navigate, and, despite the best philosophical and theological approaches, remains ultimately mysterious. I think all I can truly do as a follower of Christ is to believe that He has a plan in place, and that His plan is for the good of those who follow Him.
